Theme: Collective Brilliance: Advancing Research, Mentorship and Leadership
📍 October 30–November 2, 2025 | Atlanta, GA
We’re excited to announce that NCFDD will be attending the 2025 Institute on Teaching and Mentoring, hosted by the Southern Regional Education Board (SREB). The conference theme, “Collective Brilliance: Advancing Research, Mentorship and Leadership,” aligns perfectly with our commitment to strengthening academic communities.
At the conference, we’ll be showcasing our brand new Mentoring Workshops, our enhanced Research Funding Course, and our full suite of professional development offerings designed to help faculty at all career stages thrive. By empowering faculty to grow as scholars, mentors, and leaders, we ultimately help create stronger, more supportive learning environments where students can excel.
In addition to visiting our booth, be sure to join the NCFDD session “Every Semester Needs a Plan,” led by Dr. Joy Gaston Gayles and Dr. Toni Owens on October 31, 2025, from 11:00 AM–12:15 PM ET in Rooms M106–M107 (Marquis Level). This interactive session will help participants identify their personal and professional goals for the term, create a strategic plan to achieve them, and establish the support and accountability structures needed to stay on track. You’ll leave with a clear, actionable plan to guide your success throughout the semester.
Join us to explore how NCFDD can support your institution’s goals of fostering outstanding teaching, meaningful mentorship, and sustained research success. We look forward to connecting and turning collective brilliance into real world impact together.

🎯 What We’re Bringing to the Table
This year, we’re focused on helping campus leaders:
- Create supportive, sustainable academic cultures
- Equip chairs and faculty with practical tools, not just theory
- Build momentum – despite budget cuts, resistance, and burnout
You don’t need more initiatives. You need programs that actually work, and we can show you how.
