If you believe more faculty at your institution could benefit from NCFDD, you can help start the conversation. As an NCFDD Campus Champion, you’ll have resources and support to make sharing NCFDD with colleagues and campus leaders easier.

Help Turn Faculty Interest Into Institutional Support

You know your campus, your colleagues, and the challenges faculty are navigating. Your voice can help institutional leaders understand where additional faculty support could make a difference.

The NCFDD Campus Champion program is for faculty at institutions that do not currently have an NCFDD institutional membership who want to take an active role in bringing NCFDD to their campus. This includes faculty at institutions that have never partnered with NCFDD as well as those whose institution was an NCFDD member in the past.

You do not need to become an expert on institutional membership or make the case alone. NCFDD will provide the information, resources, and guidance you need to help start the conversation. The Campus Champion program is designed to turn faculty interest into warmer institutional conversations rather than relying only on traditional outreach.

What Does a Campus Champion Do?

Being a Campus Champion means helping create awareness and opening doors on your campus. Depending on what feels appropriate for you, that could include:

Sharing NCFDD information and resources with faculty colleagues
Helping identify other faculty who may be interested in institutional access
Sharing ready-to-use information with a department chair, dean, provost, faculty affairs leader, or other decision-maker
Introducing an institutional leader to the NCFDD team
Sharing your own experience with NCFDD and why you believe broader access could benefit faculty at your institution

You are not responsible for selling NCFDD or securing institutional approval. Your role is to help start the conversation. NCFDD will take it from there.

We’ll Make It Easier to Advocate

You shouldn’t have to build the case from scratch.

As a Campus Champion, you’ll receive resources designed to help you take the next step, such as:

Information you can easily share with colleagues
Institutional membership talking points
Ready-to-use messages for campus leaders
Resources that explain the value of NCFDD for faculty and institutions
Guidance from NCFDD when you’re ready to make an introduction

You decide how involved you want to be and which actions make sense for your campus.

Who Should Become a Campus Champion?

This may be a good fit if:

You’ve benefited from NCFDD and want other faculty to have access
Your institution previously offered NCFDD and you would like to see that access return
You’ve heard colleagues express a need for greater faculty development or professional support
You believe NCFDD could complement the resources your institution already provides
You know a department chair, dean, provost, faculty affairs leader, or other administrator who may be open to learning more
You simply want to help get the conversation started

You don’t need a leadership title, a large professional network, or prior advocacy experience.
